About 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 2500 block of Quincy Avenue on reports of a burglary, authorities said.

When officers arrived, they learned the residents were home when they heard a noise coming from another room. One of the residents went to investigate and found a male suspect standing in the living room.

When they saw one another, they ran off in different directions. The suspect fled the home and left in a vehicle, police said.

At that time, the residents realized their French bulldog, Archie, was missing, along with tools, police said. The suspect is believed to have entered the home through an open door.

Police recovered surveillance video and found the suspect got into a dark gray Nissan Versa and fled the scene. Additional footage showed the vehicle pulling up to the home and the male suspect getting out of the front passenger door.

A second suspect can be seen driving the vehicle and a third suspect was spotted in the backseat, according to police. The suspect who entered the home is described as a Hispanic man with a shaved head and facial hair who stands between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11 and weights 170 to 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a black hooded long-sleeve sweatshirt, dark jeans and gray tennis shoes, authorities said.

Anyone with information on the incident, or Archie’s whereabouts, is asked to contact Burglary Detective Daniel Martinez at 562-570-7392. Anonymous tips can be called in through LA Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
