Southampton Days July 4th Fireworks, Parade and More: 2018 Guide

The annual Southampton Days celebration will feature a parade, concerts, games, activities, and of course, fireworks.

July 4 is approaching, which means fireworks and fun in Southampton. The annual Southampton Days celebration will feature a parade, concerts, games, activities, and of course, fireworks.

The event will be held July 2 through July 7 at the ballfields between Tamanend Park and Klinger Middle School, 1255 2nd Street Pike.

The main event is July 4, which kicks off with the 4th of July parade at 9:30 a.m.

There will then be a flag raising ceremony and parade prizes.

At 6 p.m., the fair opens. There will be rides, games, amusements, and more. A concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Klinger Middle School. The fireworks will follow. Fair parking is $2 per car.

Be sure you leave plenty of time to get there, because on July 4, area roads will be closing at 7 p.m. "If you are planning on driving, make sure you come early," organizers advise.

Plan ahead to find adequate parking, also. There will be no parking at Klinger Middle School after 4 p.m. Cars will be towed at the owner's expense, organizers say. On July 4, handicap parking and transportation will be provided at Davisville Church.

Starting at 6 p.m. on July 4, a free bus service will transport people from these area shopping centers: Southampton Shopping Center; Hampton Squarel Redwood Shopping Center; Davis Shopping Center. Riders will be returned after the fireworks show.

Expect up to an hour-long wait for return to parking areas, organizers said.
