Edmonds-Woodway: After reaching the state semifinals last year for the first time in program history, the Warriors are back in the final four for a second consecutive season. Edmonds-Woodway advanced to the state quarterfinals with a 6-3 nine-inning win over Mercer Island, handing the Islanders just their second loss of the season. The Warriors then exploded for seven first-inning runs in an 11-6 victory over Capital to reach the semifinals.
Kelso: The Hilanders advanced to the state semifinals with a 9-0 win over O’Dea, handing the Fighting Irish just their third loss of the season. Kelso is making its seventh state semifinal appearance, with its lone state title coming in 1995. The Hilanders have won 11 of their last 12 games.
Eastside Catholic: The Crusaders are making just their second state semifinal appearance in program history and are seeking their first-ever state title. Eastside Catholic is highlighted by senior Gonzaga University signee Bryson Beltran, who has four home runs this season. The Crusaders have won 11 of their last 13 games.
Southridge: After a third-place finish in 2016 and a runner-up finish last year, the Suns are making their third consecutive state semifinal appearance. Southridge averages nine runs per game and is highlighted by senior Oregon State University signee Jake Harvey. The Suns have won 16 of their last 18 contests.

Semifinal 1: Ellensburg (20-4) vs. W.F. West (22-2), 10 a.m. Friday
Semifinal 2: Mountlake Terrace (19-8) vs. West Valley-Spokane (17-9), 1 p.m. Friday
Third-place game: Semifinal 1 loser vs. semifinal 2 loser, 10 a.m. Saturday
Title game: Semifinal 1 winner vs. semifinal 2 winner, 4 p.m. Saturday
Mountlake Terrace: The Hawks are making their first-ever state semifinal appearance. Terrace won each of its last five games by three runs or less, including a pair of victories over Port Angeles and Highline in the state regionals. The Hawks have allowed just 12 runs combined in their seven postseason games, limiting all seven opponents to three runs or less. Terrace’s rotation is anchored by seniors Tanner Boe (1.95 earned-run average) and Kendall Yackley (2.30 ERA). Junior reliever Dillon Gordon has yielded just two earned runs in his last 25 innings pitched.
West Valley-Spokane: The Eagles are making just their second state semifinal appearance in program history, and their first since winning a state title in 1978. West Valley is riding a seven-game win streak, having won all six of its postseason games.
Ellensburg: The Bulldogs claimed three top-three state finishes in the past four seasons, including state titles in 2014 and 2017. The defending state champions allow just 2.6 runs per game and have limited opponents to one run or less 13 times. Ellensburg has won 16 of its last 18 contests.
W.F. West: The Bearcats are seeking to avenge last year’s 5-1 loss to Ellensburg in the state title game. W.F. is riding a 22-game win streak and has outscored opponents by an average of eight runs per game. Led by 6-foot-8 senior pitcher and Washington State University signee Brandon White, the Bearcats allow just 1.6 runs per contest.
