Newburgh, NY: ‘Moonapalooza’ To Benefit Radical Space in Hudson Valley

Benefit for Moon Infoshop and Community Space in Newburgh, New York.

The Moon Infoshop and Community Space in Newburgh, NY, has been around since October 2017 and have, so far, brought some amazing artists, DJs, musicians, queer folk, punks, plant & mushroom enthusiasts, and many other great people together for everything from intimate and fun shows to informative and useful (/also very fun) workshops. We are proud to have events where we don’t turn folks away for lack of funds to keep the space accessible.

We are slowly building a hub for radical infrastructure in the so called “Hudson Valley” region of so-called “New York” and have already partnered with a newly formed LGBTQ center in the area that is run by and for radical queer folks of color.

However, despite our best efforts, we still live in a capitalist system where we have to pay rent and utilities. To keep the space going, we figured, what better way to raise awareness and funds than putting together a huge fundraising festival-style event to bring folks together while raising extra funds! All funds will go to rent/future dope programming.

There will be bands, speakers, live artists and workshops, as well as food, drinks and all sorts of radical fun.

How much?: Sliding scale $10-$50,000. Feel free to judge for yourself what you can afford, but we promise you MOONAPALOOZA will be a great day. Free snacks will be available with entry fee. There will also be things for sale, so start saving up!

Here’s the link for the event.

Please try to park away from the immediate area so our neighbors have a place to park, we can walk folks back to their cars at night if they would like!
