Williamson indicted for hiding drugs in Bible for an inmate

COSHOCTON - A Coshocton County Grand Jury has indicted several individuals, including one who is accused of sneaking drugs into the Coshocton Justice Center in a Bible.

Cherokee L. Williamson, 29, 303 S. 10th St., Lot 111, has been indicted on one count of complicity to commit illegal conveyance of prohibited items on the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony, one count of aggravated possession of drugs relating to methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of possession of drugs relating to suboxone, a first-degree misdemeanor. In April, the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office discovered drugs hidden in the spine of a Bible dropped off for inmate Shane A Edington. The indictment state Williamson aided or abetted another woman in conveying the Bible to Edington.

Edington, 20, 423 N. Ninth St. has also been indicted in a separate case on one count of theft relating to a debit card, a fifth-degree felony, one count of theft relating to a wallet and cell phone, a first-degree misdemeanor, and one count of tampering with evidence relating to all three items, a third-degree felony. 

Felino J. Navedo, 46, 316 S. Sixth St. was indicted on three counts of trafficking in drugs relating to methamphetamine, fourth-degree felonies, and one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony. In April, Navedo was taken into custody by the sheriff's office during a drug raid in the 22000 block of Ohio 715 in Lafayette Township that resulted in the confiscation of multiple drugs, drug related items and cash.

In other indictments:

Brandy M. Swoveland, 29, 29841 County Road 25, Warsaw, was indicted on one count of burglary with a firearm specification, a third-degree felony, one count of theft of a firearm, a third-degree felony, one count of theft of drugs, a fourth-degree felony, one count of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, one count of having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony, and one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. Swoveland was said to have a .22 caliber handgun on her person when she entered a residence in the 29000 block of County Road 25 in Warsaw on April 18. 

Justyn L. Fornal, 19, 604 Locust St. was indicted on one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and one count of importuning relating to a 13-year-old juvenile, a fifth-degree felony.

Edward E. Mitten, 40, 6867 Township Road 309, Millersburg, was indicted for two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, fourth-degree felonies. The indictment states Mitten has at least five previous convictions for equivalent offenses in Holmes County Municipal Court. He was also indicted on one count of operation without reasonable country of a motor vehicle, a minor misdemeanor. 

Crystal L. Santavicca, 35, 303 N. Second St., Apt. 3A was indicted on two counts of corrupting another with drugs relating to marijuana, fourth-degree felonies.

Travis M. Tubbs, 41, 657 Elm St, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs relating to methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony.

Jacob C. White, 20, 2647 S. Seventh St. was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs relating to methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony.

Jerrie L. Rastorfer, 61, 45759 County Road 58, was indicted on one count of trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony.

Clinton Morris, 40, 15 1/2 Bowers Ave., Newark, was indicted on one count of non-support of dependents, a fifth-degree felony. 

Scott E. Jennings, 23, 2367 Glenview Way, was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. 

Drew A. Conley, 30, 24931 Township Road 399, was indicted on one count of escape, a fifth-degree felony. 

Derek M. Beach, 34, 15919 Township Road 108, Kimbolton, was indicted on one count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.
