Badou Jack and Adonis Stevenson agreed after their majority draw Saturday night that they should fight again.

They disagree, though, on where their second fight should take place. Stevenson wants Jack to return to Canada for their rematch, whereas Jack suggested possible venues in Las Vegas, Jack’s native Sweden or the United Kingdom.

Air Canada Centre in Toronto was the site of their 12-round fight Saturday night for Stevenson’s WBC light heavyweight title. The 40-year-old Stevenson (29-1-1, 24 KOs) was born in Haiti, but has resided in the Montreal area since he was a child.

The 34-year-old Jack (22-1-3, 13 KOs) was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. He moved to Las Vegas several years ago, and continues to live and train there.

“Let’s do it in Vegas,” Jack told Showtime’s Jim Gray in the ring following their fight. “I came here, to his backyard. Now it’s his turn to come to mine. [Las Vegas is] not even my hometown. I’m from Europe.”

During the post-fight press conference, Jack offered other alternatives to Canada for a rematch.

“I don’t like it over here,” Jack said. “I like the city, I like the people. But let’s do it in Europe. Let’s do it in my country. Let’s do it in the UK.”

Stevenson has not fought outside of Canada since stopping Dion Savage in the first round in September 2011 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. His past 15 fights have taken place either in Montreal (nine), Quebec City (four) or Toronto (two).

Floyd Mayweather Jr., whose company promotes Jack, spoke to speculation that Stevenson can’t leave Canada during the post-fight press conference. Despite Jack’s comments, Mayweather seemed open to Jack coming back to Canada for their rematch.

“Actually, I don’t even think he can leave the country [of Canada],” Mayweather said. “But the thing is this – with me and my staff and my team, don’t worry, we’re gonna run it back and I’m gonna make sure [Jack] make more money on the next go-around. How that sound?”

When Jack replied, “That sounds good,” Mayweather smiled and added, “OK, no problem.”

While Stevenson fought in his home country Saturday night, none of the three judges were from Canada.

Two judges – Italy’s Guido Cavalleri and Buffalo’s Eric Marlinski – scored the Stevenson-Jack fight even (114-114). Judge Jesse Reyes, of Plano, Texas, scored the fight for Jack, 115-113.
