The New York Times' traveler will make her way to Cincinnati next month to explore the city and talk about her journey through the newspaper's list of 52 places to visit.

Cincinnati was one of the places the New York Times picked for its “52 Places To Go” annual feature and in May The Times will host a forum to highlight one writer's journey through the destination list, according to the  Cincinnati Shakespeare Company.

On May 9, 52 Places Traveler Jada Yuan will join New York Times reporter John Eligon for an interview-style discussion. Yuan was named the “52 Places Traveler” and reports from the road as she visits each location on the list throughout 2018.

Cincinnati is the first city to host an event in conjunction with the 52 Places designation, the release said.

The event, “Destination Cincinnati – And Beyond,” will be held at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company.

“We were honored to be one of the featured venues that helped Cincinnati earn its place on the New York Times 2018 list,” Executive Director of Cincinnati Shakespeare Company Jay Woffington said. “It’s icing on the cake to be asked to host this special event on May 9, and we can’t wait to welcome Jada and John."

The Enquirer has noted before that the New York Times seems to really love Cincinnati. The newspaper has highlighted a bit of everything, from the city's arts revitalization to our beloved Fiona the hippo.

"Cincinnatians have always said we’d gladly put our arts and culture scene up against any in the world," Woffington said. "It’s gratifying to see The Times give so many people around the globe a glimpse of Cincinnati and invite them to experience our region for themselves.”
