Chloe Ernsberger, 9, of Shelby, will appear on an episode of Legion at 10 p.m. Tuesday.

HOLLYWOOD - Almost a year after moving from Shelby to California, 9-year-old Chloe Ernsberger is appearing in a television show.

Her episode of "Legion" airs 10 p.m. Tuesday on the FX channel. It will be the fourth episode of the second season of the show, which, according to IMDb, is about a schizophrenic man who discovers he has special powers.

The show is created by Noah Hawley, who has been a writer and producer in Hollywood for more than a decade.

Tuesday's episode will be Chloe's biggest performance to date. She always liked dancing, but her parents, Terra and Danny Ernsberger, didn't at first realize just how talented she was.

"People kept saying she needed to be in modeling," Terra said.

The family finally submitted a few professional portraits of Chloe to a talent agency.

"We heard back within the first month," Danny said.

Chloe soon had a role in a video teaching children how to play with a new toy, then went back for a sequel.

"Then she did a photo shoot for Rite Aid," Terra said. "But they went with a different red head."

Then, a talent scout told the family they needed to move to Hollywood. Last year, they sold their home in Shelby, bought a travel trailer and drove across the country. The move wasn't cheap, but the family was committed to staying in California for at least a year for Chloe to catch her big break.
