Does Orange County need another food hall? Apparently international developer Lincoln Property Co. thinks so.

The Mess Hall Market will make its debut in Tustin at the Legacy in 2019. The 12,000-square-foot space will be home to nine food and beverage concepts, some brought by popular local chefs including Andrew Gruel of Slapfish and Danny Godinez of Anepalco.

The array of eats will range from Greek to French-Mexican fusion, traditional Vietnamese and other cuisines. There will be craft cocktails, coffee and other beverages.

“With such a high-caliber group of chefs, there is nothing like Mess Hall Market,” said Parke Miller, Executive Vice President of LPC West, Lincoln’s West Coast arm. “We are so excited to present an innovative, modern food hall that will bring incredible and diverse cuisine to the region.”

Gruel will open a Slapfish seafood restaurant and another concept at the Mess Hall. Godinez will create a French-Mexican restaurant with a full bar.

“It is a dream to combine my two passions – food and drink – and to serve as a chef and drink merchant in such a well-curated, food-centric space,” Godinez said.

Bodie Rasmussen, proprietor of The Lost Bean, a Tustin coffee and juice bar, will bring that concept as well as The Little Greek, his take on Greek street food.

Vaka Burger, a Los Angeles favorite, will open its first Orange County location at the Mess Hall.

Other tenants include Laguna Beach’s Another Kind Café and The Sandwich Society which also sells soups and salads.

Mess Hall Market will be set into FLIGHT, a 38-acre “creative office campus” within the 1,600-acre master-planned community of Tustin Legacy, former home of the Marine Corps Air Station.
