A Reminder about the founder of Earth Day

FLASHBACK: Earth Day Co-Founder Killed, Composted His Girlfriend.

Daily Caller: Here’s an inconvenient truth about a self-described co-founder of Earth Day: he murdered and composted his girlfriend.

Environmental activist and self-proclaimed Earth Day co-founder Ira Einhorn had a dark side. Einhorn was found guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend and stuffing her “composted” body inside a trunk, NBC News reported in 2011.

After five years of being together, Helen Maddux broke up with Einhorn. Enraged, he threatened to throw Maddux’s belongings onto the street if she didn’t come by to get them. She went to Einhorn’s apartment to retrieve them on Sept. 9, 1977, but was never seen again.  more here

  1. Not really surprising, given what the left has done….

But she was put to good use!

  2. After years of studying these libtards
I have come to the conclusion that
every last one of them including my
brother & his bat shit crazy screaming
    wife are mentally ill,greedy,insecure,mean
    and miserable inside & out…..

  3. i was a junior in high school at the time…..my science teacher enlisted me to make a tape that would be used as subliminal sounds at our attendance rally for the very first earth day….lol….”attendance rally”….aka forced participation in something you know nothing about…..

course, i didn’t realize any of this at the time, bean toadly EDUCATED…..ie, not needing to be RE=EDUCATED……

my particular contribution would be about “noise pollution”…..

i was told to find low frequency repeating sounds, trains, animals screaming – as opposed to animals making normal animal sounds….anything that irritates…

and put it all together in a repeating audio file….

…..which i did, much to my shame….and to great effect….

the kids were herded into the auditorium, and my sound tape was running, at a very low volume, so no one realized they were hearing it…..after only a few minutes, the results began to appear….irritation, aggravation, aggression, “spontaneous” disputes…..

i do well remember the lessons i learned that day….

it’s really easy to push people to do what you want them to do…..

    just find the buttons….

i’ve hated the button pushers ever since….

….hasn’t stopped them from pushing the same old buttons, tho…..

apologies to all, for my part in making “earth day” a thing…..

  4. From the linked article:

“According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Sen. Gaylord Nelson created Earth Day in the spring of 1970 as a way to bring national awareness to the fact that, at the time, there were no legal or regulatory mechanisms in place to protect the environment.”

Sounds to me like the guy is just a glory-grabbing opportunist, and a murderer.

But he did win “Most Imaginative Composter of the Year” in 1979, so he does have that
    going for him.

  5. Earth Day related… Good news at the end

Stench Leads to Home Crawling With 10,000 Stolen Tortoises
A gruesome discovery by authorities in Madagascar highlights a grave threat to a highly endangered species of tortoise.
    PUBLISHED April 20, 2018
Soary Randrianjafizanaka set out with police, colleagues, and others earlier this month to investigate a rancid smell coming from a two-story house in Toliara, a town on the southwestern coast of Madagascar. She arrived at a scene unlike any she’d seen before in her role as a regional head of Madagascar’s environmental agency: thousands of tortoises of varying sizes covering the floors, jammed up against one another with no room to move.
In total the house contained 9,888 live radiated tortoises, a rare species found only in Madagascar—and 180 dead ones. Randrianjafizanaka helped count them as rescuers loaded them onto six trucks that made several trips to Le Village Des Tortues (Turtle Village in French), a private wildlife rehabilitation facility in Ifaty, 18 miles north of Toliara. It took until early the following morning to transfer all the tortoises to the rescue center.

    What’s the Good News?
There’s 10,000 more of them keeping the earth up.

  6. So I belong to a neighborhood site, and someone posted a Happy Earthday to everyone. Then they proceeded to tell everyone to take a hike, feed the birds, plant some flowers, and most of all shake someone’s hand and be nice to someone. I couldn’t hold my tongue because I don’t like anyone telling me what to do or how to act. I do all those things everday except I don’t shake hands with people, to me it’s awkward. Well thanks for posting about this murderer, it came in handy to show what their hero did. I have a couple of liberals around here, this ought to shut their pie hole.
