Adam Sandler returns to stand-up comedy.

One of comedy's biggest stars is coming to Cincinnati.

Adam Sandler, star of "Billy Madison," "Happy Gilmore," "The Wedding Singer," "The Waterboy" and more is bringing the funny to Taft Theatre Downtown on April 21, along with his friend, frequent co-star and fellow "Saturday Night Live" alum Rob Schneider.

The 51-year old Sandler got his start in stand-up and rose to fame during the early 1990s on "Saturday Night Live" before moving on to co-writing and starring in films for the silver screen and, more recently, was the first big star to sign a major film deal with Netflix, resulting in exclusive rights on the streaming service for "The Ridiculous 6," "The Do-Over" and "Sandy Wexler."

His fourth film in the deal, "The Week Of," co-starring Chris Rock, begins streaming April 27, and Netflix will exclusively distribute four more Sandler films as part of a re-up signed last year.

Not bad for the guy who wrote "The Thanksgiving Song."

After a long absence from the comedy stage, Sandler has found time between films to circle back to his roots with a return to stand-up, which brings him to Cincinnati.

Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday, March 2 and range from $59.50 to $250. They will be available on Ticketmaster.
