The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office stated it received a tip on Wise's whereabouts. Deputies observed Wise entering a vehicle at approximately 4:55 p.m. Thursday and attempted to initiate a traffic stop at the intersection of East Main and North 15th streets. Wise fled in the vehicle through the city, making numerous traffic violations in residential neighborhoods and school zones, including passing a school bus.

The pursuit lasted about 15 minutes and covered 10 miles with speeds exceeding 90 mile per hour at points. Deputies were able to deploy spike strips to stop the vehicle on Township Road 137. Wise was taken into custody without further incident once he was stopped. Prince's Wrecker service assisted on the scene. There were no injuries.

Wise and Brandi L. Wright, 34, of West Lafayette, were arrested and charged in October with one count each of trafficking in cocaine, a first-degree felony, trafficking in heroin, a second-degree felony, and trafficking and distribution of marijuana, a fourth-degree felony.
