SÃO PAULO — Edelman Brazil has hired highly-rated creative Gabriel Araújo as executive VP of creative and digital, while also adding a new EVP of marketing engagement to its team in the country.

Araújo, considered one Brazil’s top creatives, joins from Little George, the Ketchum/DAS-Omnicom creative agency he co-founded. During 15-plus years in communications, Araújo also worked for agencies including Ogilvy & Mather and OneWG.

"As a creative and digital professional, I have always been focused on integrated deliverables that place a premium on creativity, strategy and innovation," said Araújo. "Through data insights and great ideas, I hope to help strengthen our value proposition for our clients.”

In addition, Edelman Brazil has promoted its director of marketing engagement, Marcília Ursini, to EVP of marketing engagement.

With Edelman since 2010, Ursini has been leading the operation’s consumer practice, which has roughly 40 clients in the food and beverage, wellness, culture, education, sports, health, services, tourism and retail sectors. She has spent 22 year in communications, working in marketing, CSR, internal communications and fundraising.
