No more Backpack and Pup-tents for me - a story from our guestI wanted to get back out to the backcountry.
I sleep in a tent, not a little pup tent, carrying a heavy pack is a yesterday activity, too old for that. So your tent cabins were perfect.

Chilcotin Mountains, I thought was known for fall colors but other than the meadow above the cabin, not much colour in these trees but the meadows have been spectacular and the mountain top scenery was amazing, one never knows until they see it for themselves. I call it a learning experience.

The Eldorado rim ride was supposed to be the “prime ride” but the wind and temperature was to strong even for the Mt. Goats. The day we went to Taylor Basin was sunny, warm and an easy ride. In my opinion, this was the highlight of trip. I could have easily spent extra time there.

We had 4 wonderful days, 1 (rim trail) day had ice in water bottle, high wind, mostly sun, but uncomfortable day.
Yes, I picked mid Sept, as Sept is usually pretty nice.

My guide Christophe – seemed to be a natural around the horses – and Simon, guide in training/cook were able to show me the best of Eldorado Mountain.

On menu front, I did inform them in advance about a nut allergy, and the staff went out of their way to meet my needs.
Thanks all.
