Get out: Great Parks offers 9 days of free entry

Two adventurers explore the Highfield Discovery Garden at Glenwood Gardens of Great Parks.

Great Parks of Hamilton County is celebrating special days this year with free entry for all. Visitors can experience 78 miles of trails, over 17,500 acres of natural habitat and wildlife, lakes and river access, playgrounds, dog parks, golf courses and more. Entry into the parks is free, but some activities cost extra.

Free entry dates are:

April 22 — Earth Day

May 19 — Kids to Parks Day

June 3 — National Trails Day

July 17 — Great Parks' Birthday

Sept. 29-30 — Great Outdoor Weekend

Nov. 23 — #OptOutside (Black Friday)

Dec. 25 — Winter Hollydays

• Jan. 1, 2019 — Happy New Year
