J.T.M. Provisions issues recall on 14K pounds of barbecued beef products

J.T.M. Provisions, Co., is recalling 14,500 pounds of 14-ounce Bar-B-Q Sauce with Pulled Beef products that may be contaminated with foreign matter.

A local food products supplier is recalling more than 14,500 pounds of pulled barbecued beef products because of possible contamination, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The J.T.M. Provisions Company in Harrison has issued a recall of 14,525 pounds of its 14-ounce "Bar-B-Q Sauce with Pulled Beef" products dated Sept. 23, 2017, with a pack date of 17266 printed on the label and the establishment number "EST. 1917" inside the USDA mark of inspection, according to the agency.

Pieces of rubber may be in the product, which was shipped to retail locations in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, according to the agency.

There have been no confirmed reports of illness due to consumption of these products, the agency said. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a doctor.

Anyone with packages of the barbecued beef products with the date and packaging information listed above should dispose of the product or return it to the retailer, the agency said.
