Instagrammer Jenna Kutcher just made one thing very clear: She has no time for body-shaming trolls who say her husband is too hot for her because of her size. The Wisconsin-based 29-year-old, a wedding photographer who also hosts a podcast called "The Goal Digger," just went viral with her response to a message asking how she snagged her husband, 31-year-old health coach Drew Kutcher.
"Someone once slid into my DMs and told me they couldn’t believe I had managed to land a guy as good looking as @kickingitwithkutch. I’ll be honest that I was taken aback," she shared to her Instagram on Thursday. "Part of my insecurity with my body has stemmed around being married to Mr. 6-Pack himself. Why should I, a curvy girl get him? I feel unworthy and when I write narratives in my head that because I am not thin, I don’t deserve him."

The Kutchers' looks are no one's business, but unfortunately, mean and misogynist messages about women's bodies are anything but rare. Not only is this particular example body-negative, it feeds into an old-fashioned narrative about how women have to "catch" husbands by maintaining bodies that adhere to societal ideals. Drew having a six pack and Jenna being curvy has absolutely nothing to do with whether they are a perfect match. And because Jenna's not one just to sit back, she had some choice words in response to this toxic idea.
"This man has embraced every curve, every dimple, pound and pimple for the last ten years and has always me reminded me that I’m beautiful even when my inner dialogue doesn’t match," she wrote in a caption of a photo of the pair vacationing in Hawaii. "So yes, my thighs kiss, my arms are big, and my bum is bumpy but there is just more of me for him to love and I chose the man that could handle alllll that (and so much more!). I am so much more than my body, so is he, and so are you."
She encouraged followers to double-tap her post to show they believe that true love doesn't see size, and her post has received over 92,000 likes so far. Drew seconded Jenna's message in an Instagram post of his own, writing, "Isn’t marriage supposed to be about love, acceptance and cherishing one another no matter what? The way we look has nothing to do with the way we love and viral or not, we’re just thankful to have each other and inspire others." There's a sentiment we can get behind.
