Medley likes the intensity at Florida Gators spring practice

On Tuesday, the Florida Gators hosted three prospects on campus as the prospects got to watch the Gators through their third spring practice under Dan Mullen.

Offensive lineman Adrian Medley (6-4, 305, Pensacola, FL. High) was one of the three on campus and he got to speak with several coaches.

“It was great,” Medley said of his visit to Florida on Tuesday. “We watched film with the coaches, got to see a little bit of the campus and then watched them practice. I also spoke with the head coach [Dan Mullen], the defensive line coach [Sal Sunseri] and the offensive line coach [John Hevesy].”

Offensive line coach John Hevesy spent a lot of time with Medley going over the Gators offense and explaining what Florida wants out of its lineman.

“He was just showing me some film,” he said on Hevesy’s message to him. “He was just showing me some of the things that they do and talking to me about the plays they run. He really teaches his players. He wants me to be ready for when I get to college.”

Defensive line coach Sal Sunseri is the area recruiter for Medley and the coach who has been recruiting Medley the most.

“I talk to Coach Sunseri the most, he’s my main recruiter,” Medley said of the coach he spoke to the most. “He said that he could really use me on the team now and asked me if I could see myself playing here in the future.”

Medley admits that one of the biggest reasons he visited on Tuesday was to watch Hevesy and the Gators in action and he left impressed by the practice.

“Practice was great, that was what I wanted to see,” he said of Florida’s practice. “It was intense and they had everyone moving around fast. They had a lot of tempo like what we do at my high school.”

After a visit in which Medley says the Gators help themselves with, the lineman says he has several schools recruiting him the hardest.

“I don’t have any leaders,” Medley said. “Mississippi State, UCF, Clemson, Tennessee and Florida are all recruiting me the same.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Medley says he’s graduating in December so he would like to make a decision before then and he also plans to return to Florida for another visit. Medley also plans to visit Mississippi State this spring.
