With 13,494 job openings in February of this year, Amazon is aggressively growing. According to a recent Citi Research report, those growth patterns suggest two cities which might be at the top of the list for the company’s second headquarters: Herndon, Virginia, and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Amazon announced its search for HQ2 in September last year and narrowed it to 20 top contenders in January.
Among those announced contenders are Northern Virgina and Washington, D.C. — both close to Herndon — and the city of Boston. Cambridge, of course, is in the Boston metropolitan area.
