Personally, I love a good cup of coffee and will almost always go for the indie cafe over Starbucks, but you make a very good point about predictability. I would say that’s also why it’s so important to keep your own content consistent, so people always know what they’re getting when they go to your site.

      And to speak to Alison’s point in the comment above, it’s all about making your own content and business as solid as well-known brands, to give your audience of prospects and customers the same type of experience.
