Company recalls sausage products that may contain plastic pieces
Johnsonville, LLC is recalling approximately 109,603 pounds of smoked pork sausage products that may be contaminated with plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said Thursday.The pork sausage items were produced on Jan. 4. The recall affects all 14-oz. packages containing six pieces of JALAPEÑO CHEDDAR Smoked Sausage. The products are best by 04/04/2018 and have batch code 1001124486 or 1001124487.The sausages were shipped to retail locations nationwide.The Wisconsin food company received three complaints from customers who found hard, green plastic pieces in the products.No injuries or reactions have been reported.
