Five local basketball standouts were selected to participate in the Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches Association’s senior all-state games Saturday, March 17, at King’s High School.
Lake Stevens’ Kylee Griffen (Class 4A), Stanwood’s Ashley Alter (3A), Arlington’s Peyton Brown (3A), Lakewood’s Jelly Perry (2A) and the Archbishop Murphy duo of Maddie Hill and Megan Dorney (2A) were each named to their respective classification’s all-state team.
The 2A all-state team will be coached by Archbishop Murphy’s Cassie Snyder, who guided the Wildcats to a second-place finish in the Hardwood Classic.
The 2B vs. 1B game will tip off at 2 p.m., followed by the 2A vs. 1A game at 4 p.m. and the 4A vs. 3A game at 6 p.m.
Admission costs $10 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
