U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- There’s an old joke. If 120 million gun owners who own 400,000,000 guns with a stockpile of 2 trillion rounds of ammunition were the problem, you’d know it.
Today we are the target. The established left hates us. The left-wing media blame us for Donald Trump’s election, and they intend to punish us for it. Make us pay for preventing their push towards globalism. To them, gun owners are Neanderthals who hold back the nation and our social evolution.
What the left does not value is the belief in individual and God-given rights. Whereas we, the American Gun owner, are the most law-abiding and honest individuals in the country who simply want to be let alone.
Let me make this plain. We don’t want this fight… but, the left does.
The left will be relentless, they have called for appointing judges that will nullify the 2A, ban guns and then confiscate guns. They blame the NRA for things it has not done. They lie and misrepresent facts to make their false arguments work.
So things and news changes fast. But as of now, here is what we know now:
- A close acquaintance of the shooter notified authorities, days before the event, of what was going to happen. Nothing was done.
- The FBI dropped the ball on this one, as they did earlier this year. So let’s blame gun owners and the President.
- The police were at the shooter’s home 39 times over the last few years, and no one thought to investigate further. So let’s blame the NRA.
- The you-tube posting and videos were ignored by law enforcement. So let’s repeal the 2nd Amendment.
The left disregards the fact. Anything that gets in the way of their blaming gun owners needs to be ignored or swept aside. The same old script from the left. Never let a crisis go to waste.
Their goal is the confiscation of firearms and the disarming of the American populace.
This fight isn’t going away anytime soon. I’ve seen the numbers on gun owner turn out from November 2016 and know how we shook up the results. Without gun owners turning out in droves Hillary would be President, and your rights would be stripped from you as we speak.
So subscribe to the NRA email update and stay informed. While I favor the NRA, pick a pro-gun group and support them.
Learn from putting money away for retirement a little now or a lot later. Get involved now, and let’s fight to preserve our rights and strangle the left’s war against our rights!
Call your congressperson. Write your local paper. Go to your local politico’s Facebook pages and POLITELY voice your support for the 2nd Amendment.

In todays world self justification is the rule, where any wrong or trade off is dismissible as being necessary for a good outcome. No longer is concrete fact valued when people are fighting solely for the sake of “Winning.”
Now there are some of us who have been speaking out, who have read Martin Niemoller. We have been ringing the warning bells for sometime.

Thomas Paine’s famous exhortation is oddly used here. The “hang separately” part of the phrase refers to the punishment for the crime of treason that the Revolutionaries committed, in the eyes of the British. What crime(s) have 120 million gun owners committed that could subject them to hanging, separately?
Perhaps you worry too much about the original context. I think he means that we need to band together, or in disunity we will be picked off opportunistically and ultimately lose our rights. Not literally be hanged, but lose what matters.
Don’t forget the billboard in Kentucky a few days ago that said “Kill the NRA”. Given the opportunity, there is little doubt that there are hoplopjobes that would indeed kill as many of us as they could. Remember when some ‘comedian’ demanded that Wayne LaPierre be tied to the back of a truck and dragged down the road until he changes his mind? We, individually and as a group ‘misunderestimate’ them at our peril.

The recent horrors with student killings has mobilized the forces to politicize the tragedy in order to implement their attacks on gun owners rights. It is understandable their mobilization in mass, it is the perfect opportunity. However, one observation is never mentioned. If keyboard commandos were actual activists gun control would never have become a problem because millions would have taken to the streets every single year and been at Legislative hearings protesting anti-gun Bills. I like the term “keyboard commando” you used. There are many out there who preach but don’t practice. If ALL firearms owners were organized, the political power would be enormous. The “leftists” are masters of organizing groups to get political power. We need to pay attention and learn!

SteveK . You are aware of the extent of American military might, arent you? Gun owners with safes full of ARs don’t even come close to the firepower and technology that is deployed regularly on highly armed, far more experienced fighters overseas. This idea that the 2nd amendment protects us or prevents tyrannical government has no connection with reality.

Thing is, most American don’t agree with such strident gun advocacy. Indeed, if voting was mandatory, as a true democracy would require, our gun laws would be a little more considered. I wouldn’t ask all gun owners out to vote as you might be surprised how many don’t feel anyone should be able to buy rapid fire high capacity firearms without a reason beyond “2nd amendment rights”. Last thing the gun lobby wants is more people voting.
Does not matter if most people agree or disagree. We don’t have mob rule. RIGHTS are inalienable and protect individuals against the tyranny of the majority. Take a Civics 101 class before you spout any more bilge.
