Police: Chevy Chase chased driver in road rage incident
Chevy Chase chased a driver in a road rage incident in New Jersey that ended in a physical altercation, state police told The Journal News.
The 74-year-old actor told police he was cut off while driving on the highway on Feb. 9 and thought his 2015 Dodge Ram suffered damage, according to state police.
Chase followed the other driver across the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge over the Hudson River and flashed his headlights at him, state police said.
They pulled over and the two men exchanged words before the other driver — a 22-year-old Long Island man — kicked Chase in the shoulder, state police said.

The 22-year-old told police he kicked Chase to block a punch from the comedian, police said. Police said they were not able to confirm that.
The 22-year-old man was charged with second-degree harassment, a violation, and released on an appearance ticket. He's due back in court on March. 5.
