Five new members inducted into LU Hall of Fame

BALTIMORE – Five new members were recently inducted into the Liberty Union High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Katie Stallard Angle, Class of 2008 - volleyball and basketball. In volleyball, Katie earned three varsity letters, 1st Team All Mid-State League in 2006, 2nd Team All Mid-State League in 2007 and was Central District Honorable Mention in 2006 and 2007.  In basketball, she was named captain three of the four years she played varsity, and in 2007, she was 1st Team All Mid-State League and League Player of the Year, 2nd Team Central District and 1st Team District 11 and was Honorable Mention All-Ohio.  In 2008, Katie again was 1st Team All Mid-State League and Player of the Year, 1st Team Central District and District 11, as well as Special Mention All-Ohio. Katie finished her career with 1,091 points and was Salutatorian of her graduating class.  She played 3 years at Otterbein University.

Jerry Roberts, Class of 1955 - basketball and track. In basketball, he was 2nd Team All-Fairfield County in 1954.  In 1955, Jerry was named to the 1st Team All-Fairfield County Team. He played on Liberty Union’s County Tournament Championship teams three years in a row. Jerry finished his career with 916 points. Jerry also was a standout in track for four years. Brian Love accepted in Jerry's honor.

Chris Roseberry, Class of 1986 – football and baseball. Played four years of varsity football, earning 1st Team All Mid-State League in 1985. Chris also played four years of varsity baseball. In 1985, Chris was 1st Team All Mid-State League and All Central District Baseball Team. In 1986, he was 1st Team All Mid-State League and was the league’s Player of the Year. He made 1st Team All Central District and was named to theAll-Ohio Baseball Team. At the time of his graduation, Chris held single game records in hits, stolen bases and runs scored.  Chris also held single season records in hits, doubles, stolen bases and runs scored. In his Career, he held records in hits, singles, doubles, stolen bases and runs scored. Chris had a career batting average of .444.

Jon Mills, Class of 1988 – basketball and track. Played two years of varsity basketball.  He was also a four-year varsity letter winner in track, and a member of the 1987 and 1988 MSL Cardinal Division Track Championship teams. In 1987, he was a member of the 4 x 400 Relay Team that finished 6th in the All-Ohio Track meet. In 1988, Jon was 1st Team All Mid-State League in the 110 high hurdles and the 300 low hurdles. He was also on the 1st Team 1,600 Relay team. Jon went on to finish second in the 110 high hurdles at the All-Ohio Track meet and fifth in the 300 low hurdles in the All-Ohio Track meet.  In 1988, Jon was also named to the All-Central District Indoor and Outdoor Teams.

Risha Reincheld Wagner, Class of 1985 - volleyball, basketball and track. Risha earned three varsity letters in Volleyball, and was named to the All Mid-State League and All Central District Volleyball Teams in 1984. In basketball, Risha received four varsity letters and was named 1st Team All Mid-State League in 1984 and 1985, and All Central District in 1983 and 1984.  Risha was a member of the Sartoma Basketball Team, and received All-Ohio Honorable Mention in 1984. Risha also received four varsity letters in track, and was All Mid-State League in the long jump and the high jump in 1983 and 1984. In 1984, she was a qualifier for the All Ohio State Track Meet in the high jump.
