Video: Highlights of Paul Tyson
The great grandson of Paul "Bear" Bryant has a big arm, quick release and shows a nice touch.
Paul Tyson has 18 college offers, but every sign is pointing him toward Alabama.
Including one from the heavens.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound quarterback from
Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, Ala.) is the great grandson of legendary Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant.
Tyson, ranked the eighth-best pro-style quarterback nationally in his class by
247Sports. He threw for 3,392 yards and 36 touchdowns last season for the 11-1 Huskies, who lost in the second round of the state 7A playoffs to eventual champion Hoover.
He completed 70 percent of his passes (238 of 336) and threw just four interceptions in 2017.
Tyson has plenty of great schools to pick from, including Notre Dame, Michigan, Kentucky and Arkansas, but it's going to be tough to resist the Crimson Tide, who won 323 games and six national titles under the late Bryant from 1958-82.
