Symmetry: As a principle, the animation has a vertically centered symmetry axis, whose effects, as well as the overlapping relate to it. Furthermore, the pattern was split into rows of symmetrical kikko symbols.
Similarity: All kikko symbols in animation are somewhat similar to each other. However they usually differ in color, filling or size. Nevertheless, you can still tell that they stem from the same principle as the basic kikko module.
Closure: The animation exposes the principle in particular way. Even when certain parts of the shape are removed our brain still attempts to fill in the blanks, regardless of how abstract some elements are.
