A former correctional officer at the Jackson County Jail has pleaded guilty to smuggling contraband to inmates last year.Jalee Caprice Fuller, 30, of Independence, Mo., pleaded guilty Thursday to her role in a conspiracy to smuggle contraband cell phones and other items to inmates at the Jackson County Detention Center.Fuller was one of four people charged after the FBI conducted a raid at the Jackson County Jail last year.She admitted to conspiring with others, including an inmate inside the jail, to delivering contraband, reportedly cell phones, to inmates between May 2 and June 26, 2017.Co-defendant Marion Lorenzo Byers pleaded guilty to the same offense back in December.Under Federal sentencing guidelines, Fuller and Byers are each subject to a sentence of up to five years in federal prison without parole.
