Dana’s story: This special-needs girl was found by a good Samaritan on the side of the I-5, suffering from an injured rear leg. She was brought to Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, and from there she was taken to a local veterinarian. The tibia in her injured leg was completely shattered. With no chance of saving the leg, the vet opted to amputate. Dana has healed beautifully and has no problem getting around on three legs. She even climbs cat trees. Dana is extremely loving and just wants to be around people – but not other cats.  Therefore, she needs to be in a home without other felines.

Adoption procedure: Stop by the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, 28095 Hillcrest, or call 949-470-3045. More information: cityofmissionviejo.org/departments/animal-services.
