CNN Just Knocked Out Trump With An On Screen Alert To Viewers Of Real Time White House Lies

As the White House touted misleading stats about terrorism and immigration, CNN alerts their viewers that the Trump administration was not telling the truth.

Video:

Deputy Attorney General Ed Callaghan listed some very misleading statistics to create the false perception that there is a link between terrorism and immigration, ” Additional important statistics provided by DHS and documented include that a total of 355,345 non-citizen offenders were arrested after previously being convicted of an aggravated felony or two or more crimes, each punishable by more than one year. During that same time period, according to DHS, 372,098 non-citizen offenders were removed from the United States after conviction of an aggravated felony or two or more felonies. And between fiscal year 2010 and fiscal year 2017, customs and border protection, CBP, identified and prevented the boarding of 73,261 foreign travelers on flights destined from the United States who may have presented an immigration or security risk. In a statement yesterday about the report, attorney general sessions indicated that there are currently thousands of terrorism-related investigations into thousands of people in the United States, including hundreds of people who came here as refugees.”

The White House has turned the daily press briefing into a platform for shameless lies and propaganda. CNN has taken steps to let viewers know that what they are hearing in the briefing is misleading or untrue. The best way to stop Trump’s propagandization of the White House press apparatus is to shut it down in real time. The presidency is newsworthy and must be covered, but it doesn’t have to be an open platform to spread lies.
