Pretty dresses are no longer just for women

Quote
Why should women get to wear all the pretty dresses? Why can't men also flounce about in the feathers, lace or fine embroidery if they fancy? These are the questions being posed by the daring young Spanish label, Palomo Spain, whose flamboyant show kicked off the Paris men's fashion week late Tuesday.

Designer Alejandro Gomez Palomo told AFP he wants nothing less than to "liberate" men from the straitjacket of convention.

The 25-year-old is one of a new wave of young designers for whom gender fluidity is not just a fashion statement but a way of being.

@Frank-N-Furter, it's all over
Your mission is a failure
Your lifestyle's too extreme

Had to spend the entire day in Manhattan yesterday. Been ages since I did this, so I began studying the people I saw on the streets. I never realized how many of the men walking together in Manhattan were gay!

Flamboyantly dressed, holding hands, embracing, locked in passionate public kissing, they weren’t hard to spot. Then I started noticing all the young ladies walking along the avenue—alone—and thought, must be impossible for these gorgeous women to find enough straight men to date. What a golden opportunity for a regular guy!

I just don’t recognize my world anymore, it’s changing so fast. I wonder if Hollywood will ever start making westerns again?

Meh, it looks stupid as does most runway fashions for women as well, which are more to show off the designer's design skills. Some trends, albeit not as extreme make it to the retail stores, I don’t see that as being something most men would wear.

However, I would point out that men, especially the very wealthy and noble classes dressed kinda “queer” back in the day. What was once old is new again.

Except in those days that kind of men's clothing was considered masculine.   This garbage today is intended to be feminine
