If you didn't catch the bright flash or hear the loud boom, these videos are for you.
ROYAL OAK, MI — Residents throughout Royal Oak and neighboring communities reported seeing a meteor light up the sky on Tuesday night followed by a loud boom or explosion sound. The meteor could reportedly be seen as far away as Toledo, Ohio.
Below is a roundup of videos from across the internet in case you missed it and don't want to be left out of the conversation at the water cooler tomorrow.
The National Weather Service in Detroit said on Twitter that after reviewing several observational datasets, it concluded the "flash and boom" was not thunder or lightning, but rather probably a meteor.
