Ever wondered what you'd look like with bushier brows? More enhanced arches? Darker brow hairs? You're definitely not alone. But while experimenting with different makeup looks or hairstyles is fairly easy to do, trying a new brow look is certainly not. That is unless you're willing to deal with the long-lasting repercussions like many of us had to after jumping on the 'skinny brows' trend in the early 2000s (you know, back when we were getting them waxed at the nail salon). Happily, the brow gurus over at Benefit Cosmetics have come up with a genius — and totally techy — solution.

Available on benefitcosmetics.com starting today, Benefit new Brow Try-On technology lets you see exactly what various brow shapes, widths, and even colors will look like on you. Simply upload or snap a selfie, then adjust the shade, arch, definition, and placement. Find a finished result you love? You can then shop products that will help you achieve that desired look, and/or bring in the picture to any Benefit location and let the brow experts work their magic.

While we've seen similar apps and technology before, the results here are surprisingly subtle and realistic. They're so natural-looking, that we had to do a double-take in order to see the difference in some of the brow looks we played with. Credit the proprietary "Next Generation Brow Transformation Technology," says Benefit Cosmetics Global Brow Expert Jared Bailey, who worked directly with coders and developers to create it.

"With other facial detection technology, it's not easy to find the curve of the brow, or the right spot for the start, arch, or the ends. Many of the formulas and algorithms are simply guessing, which is why brows often don't look realistic. This technology was based on the brow-mapping technique we use in stores," he explains. Each hair is detected and replicated, and the brows are only (virtually) manipulated in a way that's actually realistic and feasible for each individual. Hence not only natural-looking results but also something that's actually possible to recreate. The brows of your dreams are only a few clicks away.
