Man arrested for Gold Mine burglary after pawn shop tip

After a call to authorities from a local pawn shop, an Owensboro man has been arrested and charged with burglarizing The Gold Mine jewelry and accessory shop in downtown Henderson.

According to a press release from the Henderson Police Department, on Wednesday, Jan. 3, "officers investigated a burglary at the Gold Mine located at 111 North Main Street. On Jan. 10, 2018, an employee at Bullet's Pawn (on South Green Street) called stating that Randall Wishon was attempting to pawn items that he believed to be stolen. Officers responded and spoke with Randall Wishon. Wishon was attempting to pawn jewelry and a drill stolen from the Gold Mine. 

"Officers searched his vehicle and found jewelry, sunglasses, boots, and purses that were stolen from the Gold Mine.  Most of the items still had price tags attached.  Officers also found pry bars and an air shim that were used to break into the business."  

Wishon, 28, of the 7000 block of Curdsville Delaware Road in Owensboro, was arrested for Burglary/Third Degree and lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.
