If you a regular reader of my posts – and I freely admit those numbers are low – you may already know that I enjoy the rimfire life as much, if not more, than my centerfire guns. Inexpensive to shoot, light on recoil and when paired with a quality silencer, very quiet. Whether you are a target shooter, hunter or plinker, there is joy to be had in a good rimfire rifle or pistol setup.
Like all of our TFB Christmas days, there is no way I could have included all the rimfire guns, ammo, silencers and accessories that I have come to enjoy. If you have something that you feel should be added to the list, leave me a note in the comments section below.

CZ USA 455 American Combo – $557
The 455 American Combo is everything you need to shoot both .22 LR and .17 HMR in one package. With a sporter-weight barrel and American-style stock, this combo is intended for use with a scope.
The CZ 455’s interchangeable barrel system means that going from .22 LR to .17 HMR or .22 WMR is a cinch. Just remove the two action screws to remove the stock and loosen two set screws that retain the barrel. No need to worry about headspace, as the barrels are pre-fit and drop-in. Tight tolerances and new manufacturing technology means the 455 is smoother to operate and one of the most accurate rimfires we’ve ever made.
455 models feature an integral 11mm dovetail for mounting scopes. The 455 American ships with a 5-round magazine.

After years of recommending various brands and types of ammunition, we decided to do things right and create our own optimized round for suppressor usage. Putting together a heavier bullet, a cleaner powder, a premium lube on the lead round nose projectile gave us consistent velocities and harder hitting performance at subsonic, suppressor-friendly speed.
