Christmas Grinch destroys decorations outside home
A real-life Grinch destroyed Christmas decorations in an Oklahoma City neighborhood.
Members of the Early family were shocked when they woke up to find their Christmas decorations destroyed.
"It makes you mad when you had been working hard on all of this and they just chuck it around like it's nothing,” 13-year-old Jack Early said.
The teen said he spent hours decorating his house with his family for Christmas. He wanted the home to look extra festive this year.
"We did it because my grandmother just got out of the nursing home and we wanted everything to look good for her,” Early said. “It makes us mad that someone destroys the work you did for your grandmother."
When Early and his mom went outside Wednesday, they were in shock, he said.
Someone knocked over Santa’s reindeer and some nutcrackers, cut open one Santa and a snow globe, and even took St. Nick's head.
Early and his family have done their best to set up the decorations again. He hopes whoever vandalized the decorations doesn't come back.
"It doesn't make us feel good,” Early said. “It makes us mad and kind of disgusted."
