Mansfield woman fatally shot in Columbus

MANSFIELD - A 26-year-old Mansfield woman was fatally shot in Columbus on Sunday.

Kieara Ka'Torrence Charnele Hobbs was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:25 a.m. Sunday at the Exhale Hookah Lounge, 2044 Lockbourne Road, according to the Columbus Division of Police  incident report.

A GoFundMe account titled "Brighten Their Christmas," has been established for Hobbs's family by her aunt, Deidre Black of Mansfield. 

Hobbs leaves behind four children and "Any and everything you can do to help brighten these kids' Christmas would be greatly appreciated," according to the GoFundMe account information.

She leaves behind two sons and two daughters. Donations will go directly to Hobb's mother, Velisa Minor of Mansfield to assist her with the grandchildren, according to information listed on the account. Hobbs was born and raised in Mansfield and was currently living in Columbus.

Black said the 12-year-old boy wears sizes 14-16; the 10-year-old girl wears sizes 10-12; the 8-year-old girl wears sizes 8-9; and the 6-year-old girl wears sizes 7-8. Anyone wishing to help the children with clothing for Christmas may message Black on her Facebook page, she said.

Columbus homicide Det. Todd Chapman, lead detective on the case, could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday. The department's public information officer said he had no information on the case.

According to the incident summary, police were called to the lounge at 4:14 a.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers found a three victims, later identified as Hobbs, Latrell Davis and Christopher Bivens, inside the lounge, all suffering from gunshot wounds. Hobbs was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both men were transported to Grant Medical Center, according to the incident report. Davis remains in extremely critical condition and Bivens has improved to critical but stable condition, according to the police report.

According to the incident report, the investigation continues into the triple shooting. Hobbs is the 127th homicide in Columbus in this year.
