Brady tells Democrats on the conference committee that they will find out what changes they've made to the tax bill when the public does at the end of the week

This is not how the legislative process or representative democracy are supposed to work. Republicans cut a deal in secret with each other to circumvent the conference committee and exclude Democrats from the process. Democrats are supposed to ask questions about a piece of legislation that was changed without their input that they have not even seen.
The Alabama Senate election result has sent the Republican push to get this legislation done into warp speed. Republicans are trying to get this terrible bill to Trump’s desk for his signature by the end of next week.
This is not how the legislative process and representative democracy are supposed to work, and Republicans will pay a heavy price with voters because their wealthy donors absolutely had to have a massive tax cut.
