Fox News host slams Roy Moore: ‘I hope the guy loses’

Fox news host Greg Gutfeld said on Monday that he hopes Roy Moore loses the Alabama Senate race.

Gutfeld, host of The Greg Gutfeld Show, said during a roundtable discussion that "team sports politics" is fueling President Trump's endorsement of Moore, who's running against Democrat Doug Jones. Earlier this month, Trump said Moore's win is needed for "stopping crime, illegal immigration, Border Wall, Military, Pro Life, V.A., Judges 2nd Amendment and more."

Gutfeld said he's on "team Ivanka," who told the AP last month “there’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children" in response to a question about the allegations against Moore.

Gutfeld went on to say: "I hope the guy loses."

“If you’re upset that I say that, that’s not on me," Gutfeld said. "That’s on a team-sport ideology that’s pernicious because the long-term consequences of a Moore is much worse than the initial loss you will experience.”

During Moore's campaign, nine women accused him of a range of misconduct, including pursuing relationships with them as teenagers, unwanted attention and assault. Moore, a former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice who was removed from office twice for defying federal orders, has denied all the charges.
