Eight locally-based players included in Northern Ireland women's squad for World Cup qualifier

Rachel Furness (Reading Ladies) is joined by eight Danske Bank Women's Premiership players in Alfie Wylie's latest squad.

Eight players from the Danske Bank Women's Premiership have been included in the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifier.

Amongst those are goalkeeper Lauren Perry and midfielder Brenna McPartlan, who both featured for Northern Ireland U19s during the UEFA Under-19 Championship that was hosted in NI during the summer.

Alfie Wylie's senior squad will take on Slovakia in Zilina next Tuesday (28 November), looking to bounce back from defeats in Norway and at home to the Republic of Ireland in their opening double-header of the campaign.
