SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Isabel’s House kicked off the holiday season with a tree lighting event and party Monday night.

The annual fundraiser took place at the DoubleTree and Houlihan’s north.

There was live music, food, and even Santa.

For every $10 donated at any Isabel’s tree partner location, Houlihan’s will light up another bulb for the children of Isabel’s House.

“It raises awareness for our mission and our work and our whole mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect and to strengthen families in the Ozarks,” said Holly Beadle, the executive director of Isabel’s House.

The event is in its ninth year.

Over that time, it’s raised more than $215,000 for local children and their families.
