Understood as an extension of the opportunities for full student education, integral education seeks to connect cognitive learning to the development of skills for the 21st century, such as collaboration, creativity and problem solving, among others. Several studies show that these abilities play a key role in school performance and also in lifelong achievement. Due to its relevance, the topic is also foreseen in the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC), currently under analysis at the National Education Council (CNE), which aims to establish the essential knowledge and skills that all students should learn throughout of Basic Education.

Through the agreement signed between the institutions, the teams of educators of the Municipal Education Department, who already have experience trajectory in this field, will also have the expertise of the Ayrton Senna Institute, which for more than 20 years has been producing knowledge and solutions on comprehensive education in a collaborative way with several public education networks in the country.

“The concept of integral education worked on here is full development, so it can happen both part-time and full-time.
