Inter have been fined a total of €16,000 for two offences committed in last Saturday’s game with Napoli. The Sports Court fined the Nerazzurri €12,000 for offensive chanting and a banner prior to the game, something Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri had complained about in the media. The remaining €4,000 comes as a result of Inter ‘unneccesarrily’ holding up the start of the second half by six minutes.

The Sports Judge also confirmed Miranda’s fourth booking, leaving the Brazilian defender just one booking away from an automatic suspension due to him accumulating five yellow cards. In comparison, every other Inter player is on two or less bookings after nine Serie A games.

Napoli were also fined €15,000 for their fans behaviour as the Partenopei’s faithful threw flares and firecrackers in the direction of the field of play and the travelling Inter support.

Moreover, neither club have been forced to shut any part of their respective stadiums as a result of the crowd trouble that occurred during the 0-0 draw between the top two.
