Here's a high school football kicker that just can't seem to miss lately.Friday night, it was a game-winning 30-yard field goal. Two weeks before that, an extra-point that was the deciding factor. And sandwiched between those games?Claire Jeffress won homecoming queen."Homecoming queen knocks it through, Dawson wins. You have to love that," Dawson High School (Texas) coach Eric Wells told the Houston Chronicle.Female kickers, while rare, aren't all that unusual at the high school level anymore, but Jeffress still stands out."Claire is something – she just doesn't get rattled," Wells said. "There wasn't even a question that she was going to kick it.Jeffress, who also plays soccer, shrugs off the praise. She's just fits in when it comes to the gridiron."I just wanted to do what I've always done and not think of it as any big deal," Jeffress said. "My team had faith in me, and they were going to block for me, and the snap and the hold were going to be good, so I just had to do my job."A job that now involves trading in her helmet for a crown from time to time.
