Replace an Arch in Just One Day with All-on-4

According to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, over 35 million Americans “are missing all their teeth in one or both jaws.” The complete set of teeth in an upper or lower jaw is referred to as an arch. Dr. Gottesman offers an exciting and innovative way to restore an arch called All-on-4.

In the past, there were fewer options for restoring an arch. Dentures have long been the most common full arch restoration. Although today’s dentures are much more attractive than they were in the past, they remain a far from perfect restoration. Dentures must be removed for cleaning every night and they make it difficult to eat certain types of foods. Many patients also find it more difficult to speak with dentures.

Same-Day Restoration Without Bone Grafts

Replacing an arch with individual dental implants involves surgically placing an implant for each of the teeth that’s being restored. For many patients, bone grafting is required to prepare the surgical site for implants.

But All-on-4 is a revolutionary new way to restore an arch. With All-on-4, you get complete arch restorations using just four strategically-placed dental implants. And thanks to an innovative new method of placing these implants, there’s never any need for bone grafting.

Your All-on-4 restoration will never need to be removed for cleaning or any other reason. And the really amazing thing is that with All-on-4 you can walk out of our office with a fully-functioning full arch restoration in just one day.

How All-on-4 Works

Restoring your arch with All-on-4 is a 4-step process:

    1. Consultation: You will meet with Dr. Gottesman to determine if All-on-4 is the ideal restoration for you.
    2. Placement: On the same day that Dr. Gottesman surgically places your 4 dental implants, he will provide you with a fully functional temporary restoration.
    3. Implant Assimilation: It will take some time for your jawbone to become assimilated with the dental implants. You will want to follow your post-surgery instructions and eat soft foods for a while.
    4. Permanent Restoration Placement: Dr. Gottesman will place your permanent restoration once your body has become fully acclimated with the dental implants. This usually occurs around 6 months after the implant placement of your implants.
