FF News Posted October 19, 2017 Share Posted October 19, 2017 Squires Gate are delighted to welcome back former manager Andy Clarkson to the club as first team manager. Clarkson takes over from previous manager Danny Penswick and signals a fresh start for the club. He returns to the club having managed them to their highest ever finish of 6th position in the NWCFL Premier Division in 2006. A former professional footballer with Bradford City, Guiseley and Accrington Stanley, Clarkson moved into management first with Gate before leaving for AFC Fylde to take over as Head of Football Development for three years. After leaving Fylde, he took up a role at Blackpool FC Academy before more recently coaching at AFC Blackpool and Clifton Rangers.
