A family in Alabama is without their emotional support dog after thieves ransacked their home while they slept.Corlette Sledge told WPMI that her family's 9-month-old Shih Tzu Jackson was stolen from their home in Mobile early Saturday morning, as everyone slept upstairs. Jackson is a comfort to Corlette's husband Marion, who suffers from a disability."He's a support to him, just to be in the home with him. But he's also a family member. He wasn't just our puppy, our animal or our pet," said Sledge. The suspects kicked in the door and began grabbing everything they could find, including electronics, a purse, a wedding band and more jewelry. If that weren't enough, the suspects then pulled Jackson from his cage. Now, Sledge is begging whoever took the dog to do the right thing."Please, just drop him back off at the road. He'll run home. He knows where he lives. If you would, please bring us our baby back," said Sledge.Mobile Police are investigating and have stepped up patrols in the area.
