Roosevelt Potts: His life on and off the field

Roosevelt Potts was found guilty on Sept. 4, 2017, of one count of domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon. Police say he slashed a woman twice with a kitchen knife in an incident in Fishers in 2016.

Roosevelt Potts in 2004, when he played for the Indianapolis Tornadoes but still had hopes of getting back into the NFL. Potts also was a minister at a church in Anderson, Ind.

Roosevelt Potts (No. 42) was a star running back at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Roosevelt Potts (42) signed with then-Northeast Louisiana University in 1989 and left as the program's all-time leading rusher in 1992.
