It was an abbreviated prep football schedule this week, because most Orange County teams played Thursday night. In Lake Mary Friday night, the Rams had their eyes firmly set on a district title, hosting Winter Springs. It's the WESH 2 News Game of the Week.On paper, this one may not look like much of a matchup. Lake Mary is 5-1 and averages more than 7 touchdowns per game, while Winter Springs enters winless -- but remember, Springs beat the Rams last season by just one point, so both teams have plenty of motivation in this one.After a botched Bears punt in the first quarter, Lake Mary scored two plays later, Calvin Davis strolled in for the Rams touchdown, 7-0 early on.More from the guys in red, after a deep pass, Dezmone Williams just breaks the plane from 2 yards out to extend their lead to 14-0.But the Bears roar right back, ensuing drive for Springs, Michael Randolph scrambles, chucks it deep to Mar'quel Robinson for the huge pitch and catch touchdown, that cuts the Lake Mary lead to just 14-6.But just two minutes later, Davis won't be denied, into the end zone for another Rams score, it's 22-6 after the 2-point conversion, and the route is on in Lake Mary.More Bears, this time through the air, Brandon Brown swings it out to Cole Lee, and he does the rest. Lee's got the name and he's got the moves, outruns everyone for another Lake Mary score, it's 29-6, Rams.They add on a lot more in the second half, no upset tonight. Rams charge on, 57-13.
