The most noticeable change in the Oval Office is the new wallpaper. Previously, the walls were covered in a yellow striped paper, and now a neutral grey pattern lets other decorative elements, like the gold curtains and American flags, take center stage.

The West Wing lobby got the same new carpet as seen in the Roosevelt Room, and it was also decorated with white and yellow flowers for the grand reveal.

Just an hour after the President took off on Air Force One, all furniture was emptied out of the building and stashed in storage pods on the grounds outside of the West Wing.

Even though Trump gave the Oval Office a cosmetic update shortly after taking office, the room is currently covered in plastic sheeting while other upgrades take place. We can't help but wonder if any other major changes will happen to this historic room.

The lawn outside of the Brady Briefing Room is currently under construction, as well as the rest of the exterior, with updates like new granite curbs. Luckily, the public will actually be able to see these updates from the sidewalk outside of the grounds.

Updated, 8/23: After two weeks, the White House renovations are nearly complete — and we just got a peek of the big reveal. The new-and-improved Oval Office, Roosevelt Room and West Wing still feature a traditional-style of decor and only subtle changes were made throughout the historic building.
Original story, 8/14: President Donald Trump's Oval Office makeover was only the beginning of interior design changes to hit the White House this year. The President is staying at his Bedminster, New Jersey Golf Club for the month of August while an extensive two-week renovation takes place all over the historic home.
The repairs and improvements were approved during President Barack Obama's administration and will cost $3.4 million. This includes replacing the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, upgrading the building's IT system, renovating the Navy mess kitchen and West Wing lower lobby as well as a series of other repairs — take a look at the current state of affairs:
